When is the next Ashes Test? Second Test dates for Gabba match between Australia vs. England image

The 2025-26 Ashes Series saw a frenetic beginning in Perth with ball dominating bat on the fast and bouncy pitch and the First Test decided within just two days.

Australian paceman Mitchell Starc was brilliant with the ball taking 10 wickets for the match, while Travis Head was the only batsman from either side to reach triple figures as he blasted Australia to a stunning victory with a sublime second innings knock of 123.

In addition to Australia taking a priceless 1-0 lead against England, the rapid ending in Perth means there’s now a lengthy wait until the next match in the series.

The Second 2025-26 Ashes Test between Australia and England takes place at The Gabba in Brisbane from Thursday December 4 to Monday December 8.

As a Day/Night match the Second Test will be played with a pink ball and each day’s play will begin mid-afternoon. The first ball will be bowled at 2:00 p.m. Local time.

Here’s how that time translates across Australia.
