South Africa has had a rich history of quality Test batters from the likes of Gary Kirsten and Jacques Kallis to Graeme Smith, Hasim Amla and AB de Villiers.
Their batting has always shown discipline and grit to do well across conditions and all around the globe, and they have fittingly dominated an era of Test cricket under Smith's leadership.
Most of their notable Test encounters have come against Australia in the last 15-20 years, where they have chased down some massive totals in the 4th innings.
