Australia cricket veteran Usman Khawaja has announced his retirement from international cricket.
Widely tipped at the start of the summer, the 39-year-old confirmed he will hang up his Baggy Green after playing in his 88th and final Test in Sydney this week against England.
Tributes have quickly flooded in from around Australia and the cricketing world including fans, media and players past and present.
However some have taken the opportunity to criticise the at-times outspoken Australian batsman.

Usman Khawaja calls time on an incredible international career after this SCG Ashes finale. Beyond the 6000+ Test runs, he’ll be remembered for his powerful voice against Islamophobia & injustice never afraid to speak up. True pioneer.

A groundbreaking, remarkable career in multiple ways. Usman Khawaja had his best moments long after turning 30.
Hopefully he can drop the silencer one last time at the SCG 🏏 #AUSvENG #TheAshes pic.twitter.com/qNoh5TcGUe
I've never heard of a more ungrateful and disrespectful retirement speech than Usman Khawaja's. He labeled every critic a racist—this man is completely delusional.
