Tasmanian all-rounder and potential Ashes selection Beau Webster has put forward his claim to be selected in the Australian team for the Ashes series.
Webster debuted against India last summer and has averaged 34.63 with the bat and 23.25 with the ball across the seven test matches he's played so far.
He was positive that two all-rounders could play in the Australian test side, with Western Australian Cameron Green batting at three and Webster batting at six.
“Absolutely, I think so (both Green and he can play). We played on the same team together once before, although he wasn't bowling at that point,” Webster said on SEN.

“If the selectors think we are both in the best six batters and can contribute with the ball also, it feels like it's an added bonus to have another bowling option to me.
“I certainly think we can both play, and the fact that he's bowling, if they do like him at three, and think he's a long-term number three, then it's going to be great to have us both on the team hopefully.
“I'm always under the impression the more (bowling) options the better, and if we get another guy who can bowl in that top six, it can give the big quicks a bit more of a rest.
“I'm certainly hoping, if he is back fit and firing, I can still hold number six, and we can both share some overs there.”
The next round of the Sheffield Shield, which starts on November 10, will see every player in the likely Ashes squad playing, with Travis Head leaving the Australian T20 side to play for South Australia.
Australia's Ashes campaign against England begins on November 21 at a sold-out Optus Stadium in Perth
