Beginning back on December 14 it’s been an exciting, chaotic and record breaking summer of Big Bash action.
Now, after 44 matches, the final table is set and we’re less than a week from crowning the winner of BBL 15.
The four-team finals series starts on Tuesday night as the top two teams, the Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers, square off in Perth for the ‘Qualifier’ with the winner securing home advantage for next Sunday’s final.
The loser of the Qualifier gets a second chance, and will play the winner of Wednesday night’s ‘Knockout’ in Hobart between defending BBL champions the Hurricanes and the Melbourne Stars.

The penultimate match of the season—known as the ‘Challenger’—happens on Friday night and will determine the second finalist.
The BBL 15 Final will then be played on Sunday 25 January in either Perth or Sydney.
Who is the favourite?
Of the four remaining BBL teams, the Sydney Sixers are coming home with a wet sail thanks in large part to the contributions of returned Australian Test stars Steve Smith and Mitchell Starc, and English T20 gun Sam Curran.
Perennial contenders Perth will appreciate the home advantage of Optus Stadium in the Qualifier, a match that shapes as the most critical of the entire finals series given the Sixers will be extremely hard to beat at their SCG home should they host the Final.
While the Hurricanes and Stars have plenty of firepower and can beat anyone on their day, the momentum seems to be firmly with the top two as the finals series begins.
