The historic Adelaide Oval scoreboard shows Jake Weatherald was out LBW just before lunch on day three of the third Ashes Test.
Only trouble was, he wasn’t out at all.
Despite seeing the umpire raise his finger to the delight of England players and fans, replays quickly showed the ball in question from Bryson Carse had pitched outside leg stump.
Weatherald would certainly have been safe—except that he didn’t review the decision.

The irony wasn’t lost on the Fox Cricket commentary team in a match that’s been dogged by controversy around player reviews and questionable technology.
“Huge mistake,” Isa Guha said of the decision not to review.
“That’s a bad blue, Jake Weatherald was the one that started to walk,” Mark Waugh agreed.
Indeed, not for the first time in this Test Match a batter was on his way back to the pavilion unnecessarily.
At least on this occasion it had nothing to do with the DRS technology itself, rather the Australian’s decision not to use it.
Why didn't he review⁉️
