Australia has selected their starting XI for the first Ashes Test against England in Perth - starting on Friday.

Opening batter Jake Weatherald will make his Test debut alongside Usman Khawaja at the top of the order, while Brendan Doggett will be a part of a three-prong pace attack featuring Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland.

All-rounder Beau Webster is an unlucky omission with Cameron Green selected at no.6 as the team's all-rounder.

It will be the first time in Australian cricket history that men's Test XI will feature two indigenous players in Boland and Doggett.
