Australia will host not one, but two World Cups in 2020, with the game's shortest format to take centre stage either sides of the year Down Under.

The Australian women's team will launch its title defence against India at Sydney Showground on February 21, 2020.

Eight months later, the men's team will kick off its bid to win the only trophy absent from their cabinet when they take on Pakistan at the SCG on October 24, 2020.

The history of international Twenty20 cricket in Australia reads of two vastly different stories. The women's side have won the previously-named World T20 four times, while the men have never bettered their 2010 final appearance, where they lost to England in the Caribbean.

Regardless, both national sides will be hot favourites when both tournaments swing round, but the usual suspects will emerge.

England has grown into a white-ball force in both men's and women's cricket, India are world-beaters across the board, while New Zealand are more than underdogs.

Through it all, one thing's certain - 2020 is a MASSIVE year for Twenty20 cricket.
