Matchroom Boxing/Mark Robinson,

Lewis Crocker and Paddy Donovan will make history when they contest the vacant IBF welterweight title at Windsor Park on Saturday night.

The sold-out stadium in Belfast will witness the first ever full world title fight between two Irishmen.

There is also a score to settle from their initial meeting in March, a bout Donovan dominated before being disqualified for hitting and dropping Crocker after the bell in round eight. The Andy Lee protege also had two points deducted for use of the head.

"My confidence is through the roof and you are going to see on Saturday night just how good I am," Donovan said. "Look, Lewis is a good fighter – I’m not going to take that away from him. He does a lot of things well. But he also makes a lot of mistakes. I just think I can capitalise on those mistakes that he makes. I think I’m a better puncher, that I have more skill, I’ve got more heart, and I’ve got a better engine. I’m better in every single department than Lewis."

Crocker finds himself in the unusual position of heading into an immediate rematch as the victorious fighter but with everything to prove.

"I just can't wait to silence all the doubters," he said. "I know I am a much better fighter than what I showed last time and on Saturday night, without a doubt, I will show that. I believe, without a doubt, that I knock Paddy Donovan out."

The Sporting News will update live results from the Crocker vs. Donovan 2 card and a full report on the main event
