Sebastian Fundora vs. Tim Tszyu 2 result, highlights: Champion claims stoppage win in classic rematch image

No Limit Boxing

Sebastian Fundora has put an exclamation point on his rivalry with Tim Tszyu, stopping the Australian in another all-action clash at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

While there may have been questions following the first meeting, there was no doubt this time around, with Tszyu's corner advising referee Harvey Dock to stop the bout ahead of the eighth round.

That came after Tszyu found himself on the canvas in the opening round as Fundora looked set to make a big statement.

Tszyu was able to work his way into the bout at different stages and had some of his best rounds leading up to the stoppage, but was clearly demoralised by Fundora's ability to take what seemed to be his best shots.

"He's one tough motherf***er," Tszyu, who slips to 25-3, said following the fight.

"I tried to give it everything, but I just couldn't do it.

"Victory belongs to Sebastian Fundora, the best 154-pounder on the planet.

"He was just the better man. He's very hard to land, he's tall as f***.

"Sometimes I felt like I was shadowboxing with myself.

"Congratulations to Sebastian Fundora and his team."

The win sees Fundora retain the WBC super welterweight title and move to 23-1-1 as a professional.

As a six-foot-six southpaw, the 27-year-old southpaw is one the trickiest puzzles to solve in the sport, with his lead hand proving too big an obstacle for Tszyu .

"The first knockdown in round one, my Dad told me all week, 'I think we can get him out,'" Fundora said.

"I'm obviously the bigger guy. I need to start bullying these guys.

"I woke up this morning and I looked at myself in the mirror and I said, 'Oh wow, I have reach.'"

Here's how it all went down:
