Brisbane Entertainment Centre will be the host of the January 16 grudge match between Nikita Tszyu and Michael Zerafa.
Promoters No Limit Boxing confirmed the location on Monday, with the Boondall venue winning out from others in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
It means the spiteful domestic showdown will take place on neutral ground, following some tense negotiations.
The Tszyu family have been a staple on the scene in Sydney since Kostya's arrival from Russia in the early nineties, while Zerafa has long represented his home state of Victoria on the national stage.
Understandably, neither fighter was too keen to give their opponent the home-ground advantage, leaving Queensland as the obvious landing spot.
Tszyu spoke about the stakes earlier this month.
"I think the pressure is heavily on him," Tszyu told AllSportsPeople.
"If he loses, I think his career would be finished.
"The amount of focus that I have to have for this fight is unlike anything I've ever prepared for.
"There's so much on the line that there is no moment to be able to relax or second guess myself.
"Mentally, I think there's a vulnerability in him and maybe that's what I'm going to target."
Brisbane Entertainment Centre has previously played host to significant boxing action - Anthony Mundine fought there four times, including his wins over Daniel Geale and Garth Wood, while Jeff Harding defended his world title there back in 1989.
The venue has also been the site of two UFC events, both headlined by Mark Hunt, while professional wrestling organisation AEW hosted its Grand Slam show there earlier this year.
