Gold Coast star Sam Flanders has nominated St Kilda as his club of choice for the 2026 season.
The 24-year-old was choosing between the Saints, Essendon, Melbourne and Carlton, but has opted for Moorabbin on a five-year deal worth reportedly around $900,000-a-season.
It's understood the Suns are keen to acquire St Kilda's pick no.7 in a trade for Flanders, which they would flip to Melbourne as part of a deal for Christian Petracca.
Flanders is the fifth player to nominate St Kilda as their club of choice for 2026, with Carlton duo Tom De Koning and Jack Silvagni confirming their arrivals on Friday.

West Coast's All-Australian forward Liam Ryan and promising GWS defender Leek Aleer have also made it known they want to play at the Saints.
Flanders was shunted out of the Suns midfield in 2025, with Matt Rowell, Noah Anderson and Touk Miller being the core of the engine room throughout the season.
However, Suns coach Damien Hardwick revealed Flanders' indifferent 2024 form was down to a debilitating back injury he carried.
"Sam's had a tough year. He was on fire at the start of the year. He's got a back that, if I'm being completely honest, he probably shouldn't have played half the games he played, but he's tough kid and I love him," Hardwick said after Gold Coast was eliminated from finals.
Any club that has Flanders next season will be hoping for the 2024 version, with the Victorian averaging 31 disposals a game in a half-back-midfield role.
