Richmond coach Adem Yze has confirmed the Tigers' priority through the trade and draft period this off-season after finishing second last in the 2025 season.
The Tigers won five games this year, including an impressive win against Carlton in round 1, which surprised most people watching.
They also had three losses by under a goal, losing to North Melbourne by four points in round 10, three points to GWS in round 3 and four points to St Kilda in round 22.
Tigers coach Adem Yze told SEN Breakfast that the priority for this off-season is to aim for the draft again after their haul last year.

“We’re really clear that we’re going to hit the draft again,” Yze said.
“We’ve got two early draft picks again, and we’re looking for young talent to bring in. For this season, we’ll do that again.
“We might look to free agents and things like that next year and moving forward.
“Last year we brought a lot of young talent in, we’re going to do that again this year and start to think of those things next year.”
The Tigers only have two picks this year, but both are first-round selections as they currently hold picks 2 and 3.
In the 2024 trade period, the Tigers traded their 2025 second-round pick to North Melbourne, their third-round pick to Fremantle and their fourth-round pick to Gold Coast to only have two picks this year.
Richmond had six first-round selections last year, where they picked up Sam Lalor (1), Josh Smillie (7), Taj Hotton (12), Jonty Faull (14), Luke Trainor (21) and Harry Armstrong (23) with their only other pick in the draft being second-round pick Thomas Sims (28).
