Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield faces a nervous wait for the Match Review Panel findings on Monday after driving Carlton's Matthew Kreuzer into the ground with a tackle.

The incident occured in the third quarter of the match at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night, with Kreuzer failing a concussion test he took in the rooms after the Brownlow Medal favourite's tackle.

Dangerfield will be ruled ineligible to win the award for the competition's best player if he is suspended for the incident.
