The AFL has secured one of the most famous international music acts in Snoop Dogg to perform at the AFL grand final.

The American rapper will play a set prior to the season decider between Geelong and Brisbane at the MCG.

But what time will Snoop Dogg be taking the stage at the home of Australian Rules?

What time is Snoop Dogg performing at the AFL grand final?

Snoop Dogg's set at the AFL grand final is set to start at 1:30pm (AEST) - one hour before the first bounce.

  • 9:30am - AFL Members and public gates open
  • 9:35am - First bounce of Marsh AFL Futures match
  • 1:30pm - Snoop Dogg performs with Baker Boy and Tash Sultana
  • 2:13pm - Both teams run on to the MCG
  • 2:25pm - National anthem and Welcome to Country ceremonies
  • 2:30pm - First bounce of the AFL grand final

How much is Snoop Dogg getting paid for the AFL Grand Final?

While no exact figure has been revealed, and likely never will be, reports have suggested Mr. Dogg is receiving between AU$2 million - $AU5 million for the performance.

Either way, it's a good earn for what will amount to about 20 minutes of stage time.

Last year, the Herald Sun reported that pre-match entertainer Katy Perry was paid around AU$5 million for her performance.

In 2023, KISS got the MCG on its collective feet, although no figure for the legendary rockers was reported.

Prior to that, Robbie Williams reportedly earned around AU$1 million for his efforts before the 2022 decider.
