Report: St Kilda offer Adam Tomlinson five-year deal image

St Kilda have reportedly offered Giants key defender Adam Tomlinson a bumper five-year deal in an effort to lure him south.

Triple M's Damian Barrett reports that the Saints are targeting tall defenders and Tomlinson is high on their hit list, despite signing a two-year extension earlier this year.

St Kilda have also been linked with delisted Swans defender Michael Talia, brother of Adelaide star Daniel.

Support for Jake Carlisle down back is obviously a priority at Seaford heading into the trade period.

Nathan Brown had a mixed season following his switch from Collingwood while promising youngster Hugh Goddard missed a good chunk of 2017 with injury.

Given Tomlinson's recent re-signing the Saints would need to bring a lot to the trade table.

St Kilda currently have picks seven and eight in the first round but would need a lot of convincing to part ways with either of those.
