Richmond have confirmed the departures of tall pair Jacob Koschitzke and Jacob Blight, with the duo told they won’t be offered contracts for 2026.
Both arrived at Punt Road within the last two years but were unable to cement their spots in the senior side. Koschitzke, who crossed from Hawthorn ahead of the 2024 season, managed 16 games in yellow and black after 48 with the Hawks.

Blight, originally from Western Australia, joined through the mid-season draft in 2024 and featured 10 times in the AFL, including seven outings this year.

“Jacob (Koschitzke), to his credit, certainly put his best foot forward at VFL level this year and played a number of roles with minimum fuss. Jacob (Blight) moved across the country to play with the Club mid-way through last year, and we thank him for his commitment during his 18 months with us. We wish them both well for their future pursuits.”
Koschitzke and Blight join Mate Colina, Jacob Bauer and Kamdyn McIntosh in departing as Richmond continue reshaping their list ahead of 2026.
