Adelaide have sensationally told Jake Lever not to show up at the club's best-and-fairest after the defender sought a trade to Melbourne this week.

The Herald Sun reports that Lever - who is expected to poll well after a strong season - was told by club officials not to attend Friday night's award ceremony.
The 21-year-old reportedly wants to move back to Victoria to be closer to family.
Lever's Crows career ended in acrimonious circumstances and he was apparently spotted throwing some of his Adelaide gear out at the dump after last weekend's Grand Final loss to Richmond.
The Demons are expected to announce a four-year deal with Lever worth up to $750,000 a season.
