Jack Silvagni has knocked back interest from Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs to reunite with his father at St Kilda.
It means Silvagni will follow in the footsteps of Tom De Koning, who is also set to depart Carlton for Moorabbin as a free agent.
The Saints have come from the clouds to land the 27-year-old, after ramping up their pursuit last week.
St Kilda edged out the Pies and Dogs by offering five years instead of four on increased money, according to a report from Nine's Tom Morris.

"Collingwood and the Dogs didn’t budge on their four-year deal. The Saints was more $ and five years."

In a seperate post, Morris added context to the Saints' long-term interest in Silvagni.
"In reality, there were conversations in the background for some time in an unconventional, unique manner," he said.
"Carlton always suspected the Saints - even when the Dogs & Pies were meeting with Silvagni & will now be dreaming of top tier compensation."
Incredible how quickly the St Kilda/Silvagni story grew legs publicly. This was eight days ago 👇.

As Morris alludes to, St Kilda's contract for Silvagni could now put the Blues in the mix for band one compensation, rewarding them with a first-round pick in November's upcoming draft.
Silvagni will reunite with his father Stephen at St Kilda, who is the current list boss of the Saints.
The father-son duo previously worked together at the Blues from 2016-2019, where Stephen worked as Carlton's list boss before departing the club on strained terms.
Jack Silvagni is a huge get for the Saints, who are also believed to be pairing the key defender alongside GWS' Leek Aleer in the backline, with the Giant reportedly set to sign a four-year deal to head to RSEA Park following the conclusion of the his team's season.
