As Hawthorn prepares for an elimination final against the Giants in Sydney, Hawks fans might want to avoid checking the club's record at ENGIE Stadium.
From eight previous visits to the Sydney Showground from 2015 to 2023, the Hawks have failed to win a single game.
Six of those games were against the Giants, while Hawthorn also lost to Melbourne and Collingwood at the western Sydney ground during the Covid-impacted 2020 season.
A closer look at the Hawks' road games this year, however, paints a more encouraging picture.

Sam Mitchell's team started the year with victory over the Swans in Sydney in Opening Round, while the Hawks were extremely competitive in narrow losses to Fremantle in Perth (13 points), the Crows in Adelaide (14) and the Lions in Brisbane (10) in the closing weeks of the season.
They also knocked off the Giants in Launceston back in round three and Hawthorn midfielder Jai Newcombe is opting to focus on the positives as they prepare to hit the road once again in week one.
"We're set really well," he said. "We've been playing top-order sides over the last six weeks and we've been more than competitive in all those games.
"So our game is in good shape and we're really looking forward to taking it to the Giants.
"We've shown we're more than good enough to win at those (interstate) places, so we'll be looking to do the same (against GWS)."
The midfield battle is always critical and both sides possess Rolls Royce talent through the centre of the ground.
There are two names Newcombe is taking note of as he prepares for the cut-throat match on Saturday afternoon.
"We have to be sharp, we have to be on our toes," he said.
"Obviously Finn (Callaghan) with his outside run is very damaging ... and you know what you're going to get from Tom (Green) on the inside.
"They've been super-impressive all year. It's a good challenge for us and we're more than capable of taking it up to them."
