Gold Coast are a chance to snare gun Collingwood forward Jamie Elliott for the 2026 season.
The out-of-contract 33-year-old - who is an unrestricted free agent - has a two-year deal from the Magpies in his possession.
However, the Suns have come forward with a three-year contract, according to journalist Tom Morris.
Collingwood premiership player Elliott is understood to be undecided between the two offers, having family on the north-eastern coast of Australia at Airlie Beach.

Elliott enjoyed a career-best season in 2025 despite his veteran status, kicking 60 goals from 25 games and being unlucky to miss the All-Australian team.
His previous best haul in front of goal was 39 goals in 2023 - the year the Magpies won their most recent premiership.
The Suns have also been linked with Charlie Curnow and Jamarra Ugle-Hagan as they attempt to make their forward line more dangerous.
Elliott would slot in alongside full forward Ben King, who kicked 71 goals in a dominant season out of the goalsquare.
