Collingwood look set to bolster their attacking stocks for 2026 with Sydney key forward Jack Buller requesting a move to the Magpies.
AFL Media’s Cal Twomey reported the 24-year-old has formally told the Swans of his wish to join Craig McRae’s side, following weeks of speculation linking him with the black and white.
Buller kicked 11 goals in the final nine matches of Sydney’s campaign and has been offered a two-year deal by the Magpies on the back of that form. His request comes at a time when Collingwood’s forward line is in flux, with Brody Mihocek weighing up a free agency offer from Melbourne and Jamie Elliott continuing to delay contract talks amid interest from Gold Coast.

Mihocek and Elliott decisions loom
Twomey told AFL Trade Radio that Buller’s move could be tied to Collingwood’s other list decisions.
“But Jack Buller has told the Swans he wants a trade to the Pies. That could be as a Brody Mihocek replacement. Melbourne are of course looking at Brody Mihocek as a free agent. Jamie Elliott, well, Gold Coast continue to be linked to him, and he’s continued to hold off on signing a deal that he’s not ready to sign, that two-year offer from Collingwood.”
While the Swans are expected to seek fair compensation, Collingwood appear determined to land Buller as part of a long-term forward strategy.
Should Mihocek or Elliott depart, the Pies will have a ready-made option waiting in Buller, and the forward has already made it clear he wants to wear black and white.
