ANZAC Day is set to be interesting.
After bowing out in this year's preliminary final, Collingwood have reset the coaching staff under Craig McRae, adding former Essendon captain Dyson Heppell.
Heppell joins Collingwood after spending 2025 in the VFL for Port Melbourne, after retiring from the AFL at the end of 2024.
Heppell played for 14 years at the Bombers, appearing in 253 games, where he captained the side for six seasons and earned an All-Australian nod in 2014.

Heppell will officially act as a development coach for the 2023 premiers.
He's not the only new face at Collingwood though, with Greg Stafford also signing on as ruck coach.
Stafford arrives from Melbourne, where he coached for more than a decade, after a more than 200-game playing career with Sydney and Richmond.
