North Melbourne great and AFL pundit David King has explained that Melbourne defender Judd McVee's trade request to Fremantle will see the Dockers rise to his premiership pick next year.
The Melbourne defender reportedly requested a trade from the Demons to the Dockers yesterday, according to AFL.com.au's Callum Twomey.
McVee has played 654 games for the Dees since being selected at pick 18 in the 2022 rookie draft, and played 17 games for the club this year, averaging 14.4 disposals for the year.
Speaking on SEN's Fireball, King explained how McVee could be a good addition to the Western Australian club.

“That’s a good get for Freo I reckon,” King said.
“He’s a sneaky good player. I think he can do some things; he might get some different opportunities over there.
“Maybe a bit more midfield time.”
Asked by co-host Kane Cornes about whether the Dockers would be King's premiership pick for next year, King was pretty confident about Freo's potential.
“My word. Have you seen their list?” King said.
The Dockers had two players named All-Australian this year, with defender Jordan Clark and midfielder Caleb Serong, whilst Josh Treacy finished 13th in the Coleman Medal with 44 goals.
Fremantle finished the season in sixth place this year, but lost a home final to Gold Coast by one point in what was a fantastic match to watch.
