AFL State of Origin is back, and all the stars are gearing up to represent their state.

As two traditional Australian rules football-playing states, Victoria and Western Australia have produced a wealth of talent, so it’s unsurprising to see so many stars commit to next year’s State of Origin game.

When and where is State of Origin?

The game is set to be played on February 14, 2026 at Optus Stadium.

Selection process for AFL State of Origin

To be eligible to play for either state, the selection process is dependent on where each player played their junior football. If their junior club is based in either Victoria or Western Australia, then they are eligible for State of Origin.
