Melbourne star Christian Petracca would be willing to play for an interstate AFL club if he leaves the Demons in a trade.
The Demons midfielder-forward was keen to leave the club last season to a big Victorian club, but has opened up his options for 2026, reports Tom Morris.
It's understood Petracca is not as adamant on his wishes to leave Melbourne - like he was last year - but would depart the club for a premiership contender in Victoria or interstate.
This means contending Victorian clubs Collingwood, Geelong and Hawthorn would interest the 29-year-old, but he would also be willing to join Adelaide, Gold Coast or Sydney.

Melbourne maintains Petracca is a required player for the 2026 season, but would consider a trade that benefits their list rebuild under new coach Steven King.
Petracca's midfield partner-in-crime Clayton Oliver will most likely be playing for the Demons in 2026, after the previous trade period saw speculation of his departure.
"They (Petracca and Oliver) are both superstars of the competition for what they’ve done,” King said.
“To get the opportunity to work with those guys and get them back to playing their best footy is something I would provide myself on as a coach.”
Fringe Melbourne utility Charlie Spargo has decided to exercise his free agent rights to join North Melbourne for 2026.
