The GWS Giants have announced that two players will leave the club just days after their heartbreaking elimination final loss to Hawthorn.
The Giants' season ended on Saturday after they lost to the Hawks by 19 points at home, a disappointing result after also losing both finals last year.
Backman Leek Aleer, who played in their loss on Saturday, and winger Jacob Wehr, who was an emergency for the gam,e have told the Giants they want to move clubs.
Aleer has been heavily linked with a move to St Kilda on a reported four year deal but announced his desire to be traded on Monday.

Aleer has played 25 games for the Giants since debuting for them and was selected with pick 15 in the 2021 national draft.
Jacob Wehr will be free to move clubs under the delisted free agent catergory since he was delisted at the end of last year, so a club won't have to trade to sign him.
Wehr has played 39 games for the Giants including 14 for them this year but will look for more opportunities elsewhere.
Coming from South Australia as a mature-aged recruit, Wehr was selected by the Giants with pick 69 in the 2020 national draft.
Journalist Callum Twomey has reported that Wehr will sign with Port Adelaide as an unrestricted free agent.
Wehr won a premiership in the SANFL in 2020 with the Woodville-West Torrens.
The trade period runs from October 6 to October 15, more details can be found here.
