To borrow a famous line from Bob Dylan, the times sure are a-changin' on the Gold Coast.
The Suns have largely been an after thought for most of their 15-year existence, outside of Gary Ablett jr and the odd Karmichael Hunt shot after the siren.
But that all seems to be undergoing a major shift under coach Damien Hardwick and is set to be reflected in this year's trade period.
Three-time Richmond flag winner Hardwick finally achieved the expansion club's biggest goal earlier this month when he coached the Suns into the finals, where they also picked up their first win on the road against Fremantle.

But they are far from resting on their laurels, with trade guru Cal Twomey declaring on AFL Radio: “They’ve become the busiest club in the trade period.
“They are obviously right in the hunt for Jamie Elliott. They’ve got interest in Charlie Curnow.
"Christian Petracca they’ve spoken to as well.”
The Suns are understood to have offered Collingwood small forward Elliott a three-year deal, one more than the Pies, while they are also in the mix for Carlton superstar Curnow.
Petracca now appears a certainty to leave the Demons, with the Gold Coast and the two Adelaide clubs putting potential trade deals together.
The Suns will also need to offload some talent, with clubs circling Sam Flanders and Malcolm Rosas flagging his desire to join the Swans.
The Gold Coast also has a strong draft haul, holding six picks for the upcoming draft, including three in the first round.
“They want to protect some picks because they want to take at least five academy players, maybe even six players at the draft. This is their big academy haul,” Twomey added.
