Oscar McInerney proved one of the best stories of Brisbane's grand final triumph, dancing his way to the podium to collect his medal amid some of the biggest cheers of the day.
It came 12 months after the big ruckman was forced to miss the Lions' 2024 premiership victory after injuring his shoulder in the preliminary final win over Geelong.
McInerney battled through 2025, with a series of back issues limiting him to just 14 games.
The 31-year-old is contracted for next season, but with his premiership medal safely in his keeping, the "Big O" is believed to be considering calling him on his 165-game AFL career.

“He hasn’t told us,” Brisbane footy manager Danny Daly told SEN’s Fireball. “We’ve been chatting to him all the way through about mostly how he’s feeling with his back and body.
“It was great to be able to get him to the line to play in a grand final after last year.
"He’ll probably go away for a week or two, have discussions with his family and see where he sits.
“He’s obviously contracted for another year. We’ll take up those discussions with him in the next week or two."
Geelong great Jimmy Bartel also paid credit to McInerney on Channel 9's Footy Furnace.
"The crowd said it all," Bartel said. "When he had his name called out for his premiership medallion, one of the biggest roars was for him.
"He's an absolute quality person and you need those guys in your footy club."
