Port Adelaide great and AFL pundit Kane Cornes has labelled Brisbane's Charlie Cameron 'a huge issue for them' after the small forward had only two disposals in their qualifying finals loss.

Cameron kicked the opening goal in the Lions' 38-point loss to Geelong on Friday night and had a handball in the second quarter, but didn't touch the ball in the second half.

Cornes said that while Cameron may not be dropped, his form needs to improve if Brisbane is to win against Gold Coast this weekend.

“[Brisbane coach] Chris Fagan is very loyal to his players,” said Cornes on SEN's Fireball.

“I’ve spoken about this a lot - Charlie Cameron looked like he needed a spell four or five weeks ago. They backed him in and he kicked three (against Freo in Round 23). And you think, ‘Ok, he’s backed him in again’."

Cornes added that Cameron's body language and efforts will need to be better against the Suns in their semi-final this weekend.

“His body language - and Derm (Brereton) was hot on this during the call - non-competitive. Poor body language, he’s a huge issue for them. He had some horrible efforts," Cornes said.

“He (Fagan) won’t drop him.”

Cornes' co-host and North Melbourne great David King agreed that the small forward needs to improve and suggested that Brisbane should put him closer to the ball.

“Put him to high half-forward, get him up the field, get him involved. He’s too good a player to not to be touching the ball. He had one kick," King said.

“I want him around the ball more. I want him to start with the mentality of five run-down tackles. That’s all we need you to do, and everything you do offensively after that is a bonus.”

For the first time, there will be a 'Q Clash' in the finals when Brisbane takes on Gold Coast at the Gabba, although the Lions will be doing it without star midfielder Lachie Neale, who is injured.
