Taylor Walker will push his remarkable career into a 19th season after officially agreeing to a new one-year deal with the Adelaide Crows.

The club's all-time leading goalkicker with 680 majors, Walker's career appeared in doubt after a disappointing 2024 campaign, when his run of five straight club goalkicking titles came to an end.

But he bounced back with a strong 2025, kicking 39 goals from 23 games for the minor premiers, and the 35-year-old has now extended his career with the South Australian club.

“It’s been incredible for me to witness and play a part in the growth of this team over the past few years,” Walker said in a club statement.

“I’m excited to see what we can achieve next year and am keen to do what I can to help.”

The man known as Tex moved to 301 games in 2025, the fifth Crow to reach the 300-game milestone.

He will be hoping to help the club enjoy some more September success next season after crashing out in straight sets this year.

Walker also has an opportunity to climb the club's games played list, currently 20 matches behind second-placed Tyson Edwards' 321 games for Adelaide.

AFL Hall of Famer Andrew McLeod tops the list on 340 games.

“Aside from Tex’s ability to influence games, he also imparts knowledge and guidance across the playing group,” Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks said.

“We’re excited to have Tex on board for another year.”
