We've now reached the second full week of the 2025 WNBA season, which means another jam-packed slate for fans to enjoy as summer unofficially begins. Among the games slated for this week is a midweek matchup between the Wings and the Sun on Tuesday night.
Former UConn standout Paige Bueckers makes her return to the Constitution State just months after bringing the Huskies a 13th NCAA title. She and the Dallas Wings (0-4) are still in search of their first win of the season, after falling 83-75 to the Dream Saturday. Bueckers has impressed during her debut season, averaging 13 points through four games and recording a double-double against Minnesota on May 21.
Opposite the Wings are the Sun (0-4), who are also searching for their first win of the season. The closest Connecticut has been to a win this season was against Minnesota Friday, where it led by double digits late in the fourth quarter. The Sun wound up losing, 76-70, thanks to an 18-0 run from Minnesota to end the game.
Tuesday's game is among the first Commissioner's Cup games, a yearly in-season tournament. The defending Commissioner's Cup champion is the Minnesota Lynx.
