The Chicago Sky has been sweating on the availability of All-Star forward Angel Reese for Friday night's game against the Indiana Fever.

Though the Sky (10-30) is out of the WNBA playoff picture, Chicago will be hoping to play spoiler against a Fever team (21-20) reeling from the news that Caitlin Clark will not play again this season.

However, Reese picked up her eighth technical foul of the 2025 season during the Sky's 88-64 win over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, which left her status in the hands of the WNBA -- which had the power to rescind or uphold the decision.

Reese will miss Friday night's game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, as the WNBA did not rescind her eighth technical foul.

The league on Thursday confirmed that Reese's eighth technical would stand, and she would be suspended without pay when the Sky play the Fever for the fifth and final time in the 2025 season.

The Sky lost the previous four meetings with the Fever, all by at least 15 points. Reese played in two of those games; her 8.0 points per game average against Indiana is the lowest she has accrued against any opponent in 2025. She has played fewer minutes (25.7 per game) and dished out fewer assists (1.5) against Indiana this season than she has against any other team.
