A'ja Wilson has strongly-worded explanation for Aces' performance so far this season image

The Las Vegas Aces aren't off to the strongest start this season. The team have two wins and two losses — it's not the worst record in the league, but it's also not the best, and the Aces are hoping to compete with the Liberty and Lynx, who are currently each undefeated.

While speaking to reporters during practice this week, Wilson bluntly explained why things haven't gone well for the Aces so far. "Honestly, we just gotta be better," she said. "We played bad, we looked bad, and that wasn’t us… It’s on us to look better and play better. That’s pretty much all I’ve seen in the past two games. We just played like s--t. We did. We looked bad."

Wilson isn't the only person who's been disappointed with the team's performance of late. Coach Becky Hammond also had harsh words for her team this week. She described the Aces as "undisciplined" following their loss to the Seattle Storm.

"The effort wasn't there, the discipline wasn't there," Hammond added. Until the system is ran correctly, it's hard to say plan A doesn't work."
