Two powerhouse Georgia high school volleyball programs will collide this week as Alpharetta hosts Cartersville.

Alpharetta continues its hunt for a third consecutive GHSA 6A state title this fall. Currently, the Raiders sit at 29-1 with their only loss being to Cartersville. Alpharetta fell to the Canes in a three-set thriller in early August and will surely be looking to avenge that loss Thursday.

Cartersville is another force in the world of Georgia high school volleyball — the program won back-to-back 3A state championships in 2022 and 2023. The Canes stand at 25-8 this season, but they'll be faced with a tough rematch when they travel to Alpharetta.
