For the second time in three weeks, the newly-crowned No. 1 team in California takes on the No. 1 team in another state known for taking its football seriously.
This time the Braves host St. Louis (3-0), the reigning Hawaii state champion who's ranked 67th in the nation by MaxPreps. It's too early in the season to tell if St. Louis can push St. John Bosco, but most remember what Kahuku did against St. John Bosco two years ago, and St. Louis is a more highly-touted team than Kahuku was at that point of the season in 2023.

With that said, the Kahuku loss is all the more reason to expect the Braves to come out in lockdown mode, which they've otherwise always been in against out-of-state opponents. Most expect St. John Bosco to roll, but it's not unfathomable that St. Louis gives Bosco a run for its money, in which case the entire nation would be on notice by halftime.
