Sitting at 3-0 for the first time in 15 years, Ouachita Parish is beginning to turn some heads in Louisiana's Class 5A.

The Lions welcome Port Gibson from Mississippi this week as they look to extend their start to 4-0. This is the first meeting between the teams.

Ouachita defeated defending Division III non-select champion Sterlington, 33-22, last week and is looking for its first winning season since 2021. MJ Dade led the Lions last week with 174 yards and a touchdown.

Port Gibson is 3-1 after a 28-6 setback against Simmons last week. Blue Wave junior KiMontae Crutison has accounted for 640 yards and two touchdowns in his last two games.
