The NHL is already back, but there's even more hockey returning this week.
The ECHL is set for its 38th season with an eight-game slate opening the new campaign on Friday, Oct. 17.
The league will officially have 30 teams this season after the addition of the ECHL's newest member, the Greensboro Gargoyles. In total, 30 of the 32 NHL teams have an affiliation with an ECHL team.

ECHL schedule 2025-26
The 2025-26 ECHL regular season begins on Friday, Oct. 17, and ends on Sunday, April 12. Each team is scheduled to play 72 regular-season games.
