The South Carolina Gamecocks and Vanderbilt Commodores, friendly foes from the SEC, will clash in Week 3 of the 2025 college football season. It will mark the first conference game of the season for each team, so naturally tickets have been selling fast for fans of both sides.

South Carolina has largely dominated the all-time head-to-head matchup, winning 30 times compared to Vanderbilt's four. However. the Commodores have occasionally made life difficult for the Gamecocks over the years. In 2022, for instance, Vandy put a scare into SC fans in a 38-27 shootout the Gamecocks eventually won. One year earlier, they beat the Commodores in a 21-20 nail-biter.

Both teams got out to good starts in 2025, with Vanderbilt slaughtering Charleston Southern 45-3 in Week 1 and South Carolina besting Virginia Tech 24-11. The Gamecocks earned a top-10 AP ranking after that victory, and a win over their SEC rivals in Week 3 could propel them even higher up the polls.

Players to watch in this game include South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers, running back Oscar Adaway III and wide receiver Nyck Harbor. On the Vandy side, QB Diego Pavia leads a vaunted passing attack with multiple stud receivers, while Sedrick Alexander handles the bulk of the ground game.

This should be a solid early-season SEC tilt. Here's how you can secure tickets to this Week 3 rivalry game in Columbia, South Carolina.
