The top-ranked American has once again been impressive at her home slam. She dismantled fellow American Ann Li 6-1, 6-2 in the Round of 16 and is yet to drop a set this tournament.
However, in Krejcikova, she will face her toughest opponent so far. A two-time grand slam winner, the 29-year-old came back from a set down to win her fourth round clash against Taylor Townsend 1-6, 7-6, 6-3.
The Czech star also holds a slim 2-1 head-to-head advantage over Pegula.
