Real Madrid suffered a horrible 5-2 defeat against city rivals Atletico Madrid in La Liga and though they returned with a 5-0 win over Kairat Almaty in Champions League.
However, Los Blancos will be properly tested when they will face a stern Villarreal side on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ahead of the crucial league against Villarreal, Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is wary of the threat that Yellow Submarine brings in this fixture.
"We're playing at home again against a team that's in good form both in La Liga, due to their position and their play, and in the Champions League, where they've competed in both matches. Tomorrow we need to perform at a high level both collectively and individually because they're important matches and it's the last one before the international break," Alonso told the reporters ahead of the Villarreal clash.
There have been issues with how the Real Madrid function with some player not having enough clarity about their position in the team.
Many have raised questions over the role given to Federico Valverde in Arda Guler's presence in midfielder and how Alonso will integrate Jude Bellingham who is returning from injury.

"I think they can complement each other," Alonso said when asked if Guler and Bellingham could play together for Los Blancos.
"We have to see how we position the other pieces. We need a balance, where we need to connect in those areas as best as possible. For me, how to get to Bellingham is always very important, how to get to the No. 10 position. Arda Güler has been able to play No. 10 and a little deeper, maybe not so much in the league now, but he can do it. They have to find their feet; they have to flow and feel comfortable. They can do it. I've seen them do it together, and I'm sure they'll do it again."
What did Alonso say about Bellingham's snub from England national team?
Bellingham has been a crucial player for both Real Madrid and England national team and after a prolong period on the sidelines, many people expected him to be a natural pick for Thomas Tuchel, but the German has decided not to pick the 22-year-old for the October international break.

The youngster needs more gametime under his belt and Tuchel is not ready to take any risk with the midfielder ahead of next year's World Cup.
Similarly, Alonso is also not much concerned about Bellingham's England snub as he reveals how all parties were already informed about the decision.
"I'm not relieved, it's the decision. I've spoken to Bellingham, and he told me Tuchel had already told him. It's just a matter of time before he's back in the squad; I'm sure he'll be back. After the injury, he's gradually getting better, and he's eager to play and contribute. He's a key player because of his quality, his playfulness, and how unbalanced he is. It's just a matter of time before he reaches his best," Alonso replied when asked about Bellingham being left out of the England squad.
Bellingham started in Real Madrid's midfield against Atletico Madrid alongside Guler and there were criticism around his performance.
The Englishman came off the bench against Kairat in the mid-week fixture and is again expected to start in midfield against Villarreal.
