What to expect from Welcome to Wrexham season 4
The trailer doesn't give too much away, but it does tease two major storylines that will drive the new season.
First, Wrexham's pursuit of an almost unthinkable feat, three straight promotions, propelling them from non-league football all the way to the EFL Championship in record time.
Second, the brewing rivalry with Tom Brady. Inspired by what Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have achieved at Wrexham, the NFL legend bought a stake in Birmingham City, and the competition has been heating up ever since.
Now, Wrexham did it again. A commanding 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic sealed their promotion to the Championship (second-tier of English football pyramid) with a game to spare, making them the first club ever to earn three consecutive promotions to reach that level.
They won't finish the season as league champions, though. That title goes to Brady's Birmingham City, who clinched it with games to spare after an impressive run of form.
One match that's sure to get plenty of airtime in Season 4? Wrexham's clash with Birmingham, a fixture they lost but one that sparked plenty of drama, especially from the passionate Wrexham supporters who didn’t hold back in voicing their thoughts on the NFL GOAT-turned-football club owner.
The series will feature its usual mix of player and fan interviews, insight from local supporters, insightful glimpses into matches and the dressing room, plus more motivation and commentary from Reynolds and McElhenney.
