Fresh off thrashing Athletic Bilbao to reach the Europa League final, Manchester United return to Premier League action on Sunday, desperate to stop the rot against West Ham.

Despite Mason Mount hitting form and a European trophy now within reach, Ruben Amorim's side are winless in six league matches and still haven’t hit 40 points with three games left. Sitting 15th, they’ve conceded 14 goals in their last four league outings. West Ham will look to exploit that defensive frailty.

The Hammers haven’t been much better, though. Graham Potter’s side are winless in eight and limping toward the finish line of a forgettable campaign.

Jarrod Bowen continues to be a rare bright spot, hitting double digits in goals again, but West Ham’s last win at Old Trafford came in 2021. With both sides reeling in the league, Sunday feels less like a clash of heavyweights and more like a battle for dignity.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Man United vs. West Ham predicted lineups, team news

Amorim has made it clear he will not take any risks with player fitness before the Europa League final, so this weekend is likely to see the same sort of heavy rotation as the loss to Brentford last time out.

Harry Maguire sustained a knock on Thursday and will probably be rested, while Noussair Mazraoui and Alejandro Garnacho, who were substituted due to fatigue, will probably drop to the bench.

Mason Mount could get a start after his brilliant two-goal cameo against Athletic, while youngsters including Harry Amass and Chido Obi could come into the XI.

Man United predicted XI (3-4-2-1, right to left): Onana (GK) — Fredricson, Yoro, Shaw  —Dorgu, Ugarte, Mainoo, Amass — Mount, Amad Diallo — Obi

Injured: Martinez (knee), Zirkzee (hamstring), Dalot (calf), Heaven (leg), De Ligt (undisc.), Collyer (undisc., doubt), Maguire (knock, doubt)
Suspended: None

Graham Potter said last week that he was hopeful Edson Alvarez could return at Old Trafford after missing three games with a back injury.

Michail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville will not play again until next season, but otherwise, the Hammers have a largely clean bill of health.

West Ham predicted XI (3-4-2-1, right to left): Areola (GK) — Todibo, Kilman, Cresswell — Wan-Bissaka, Soucek, Paqueta, Emerson — Bowen, Kudus — Fullkrug

Injured: Antonio (leg), Summerville (thigh), Alvarez (back, doubt)
Suspended: None
