It's a first and a last for the AFC Champions League in the 2023/24 competition as clubs from around the Asian confederation battle on the pitch for continental supremacy.

This year's competition will be the first to mirror the intra-year calendar format, moving away from a full calendar year schedule and towards mirroring the European club league season.

It's also the first year with many of the new superstars who have joined Asian clubs, most notably from Saudi Arabia as Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane have made it through the qualifying rounds and into the group stage. Al Hilal also take part, with Neymar and Aleksandar Mitrovic having joined for the coming year.

However, it's the final year of the competition's current competitive format, as next year the AFC Champions League will split into three different tiered tournaments, much like UEFA boasts in Europe. With that, the top-tier tournament will be renamed the AFC Champions Elite and shrink it's participation pool to just 24 teams, with the addition of the AFC Champions League 2 and the AFC Challenge League.

USA: Broadcast rights for the AFC Champions League in the United States are owned by CBS. All matches will be shown on streaming service Paramount+ while some select matches may also be viewed on CBS Sports Golazo Network, which is a free-to-air streaming service.

While there's no indication of this as of now, it's also possible that CBS decides later in the competition to televise matches on CBS or CBS Sports Network. Any matches televised on either of those two channels would be available to stream on Fubo.

Australia: Fans in Australia can watch AFC Champions League matches on streaming service Paramount+ with no television partner yet picked up.

According to the official AFC broadcast list, countries that are without broadcast partners as of yet include United KingdomCanada, and New Zealand among others.

Teams in the AFC Champions League 2023/24 group stage

The qualifying rounds have been concluded, and that means 40 teams remain to contest the group stage of the 2023/24 AFC Champions League.

Split into 10 groups of four clubs each, the group stage will lift up 16 knockout round qualifiers when it's all said and done. All 10 group winners will advance, plus six runners-up who finish with the most points amongst the other second-place finishers from the other groups.

Below are all group stage participants, who are split into East and West regions to limit travel.
