The closing stages of Neymar's footballing career haven't been what he would've hoped for.
The Brazilian legend has battled numerous injury problems, and instead of staying with top clubs in Europe, he's back in Brazil, playing for Santos.
Neymar is hurt again this season, too. Doctors actually told him to sit out the remainder of 2025.
He didn't want to do that, though. Santos is in a relegation fight.
And so Neymar plays on.
In Santos' most recent game, the all-time great notched a goal and an assist for a key win to push Santos out of the relegation spots in the table.
Doctors advised 33-year-old Neymar not to play for the remainder of 2025 due to a meniscus injury.

Clearly, this means a ton to Neymar.
Santos is his boyhood club. It's the place he broke through before he left for Europe in the first place.
Now back home, Neymar wants good things for Santos, and he's putting his body on the line to try and preserve their spot in the top flight.
