Martinez was on Inter Miami last season as Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets arrived and took the club on a magical run in Leagues Cup. However, after the season, Martinez was allowed to leave, with Inter Miami signing Luis Suarez to be the club's new striker.
Now, Martinez, along with former Inter Miami players Ariel Lassiter and Bryce Duke, will look to get one over their former club.

The 2024 Leagues Cup is scheduled to begin on July 26, 2024, with the final taking place on August 25, 2024.
The full Leagues Cup draw will determine the groups and schedule for the competition, but that is yet to be conducted.
