Manchester United were keen to sign a new midfielder this summer and they were looking at several options only to end up with none.
The Red Devils were strongly linked with Germany international, Angelo Stiller, who has been extremely impressive for Stuttgart in recent years.
The former Bayern Munich youth academy graduate is also rated highly by Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso, who apparently wanted the German midfielder at the Spanish capital.
However, despite all the advances from several top European clubs, Stiller has continued at Stuttgart and is expected to feature for Germany in their World Cup qualifier clash against Slovakia.
The 24-year-old recently sat down for an interview with BILD where he spoke about his future plans, he said, "I’m not thinking about a transfer right now."
“I discussed with my management that this is not an option for me at the moment. I am a regular starter and a leadership player here. For my development, the most important thing is that I get my minutes –especially ahead of the World Cup. I absolutely did not want to jeopardize participating in the World Cup.”

The young midfielder has every ingredient in his skillset to flourish for Die Mannschaft in the next year's World Cup.
What did Stiller say about the option to play abroad?
Stiller is known for setting the tempo in midfield with his exceptional vision, passing range, spatial awareness and ball retention abilities, making him one of the most underrated options for many teams.

“I thought Florian Wirtz's decision to go to Liverpool was cool. But only one thing is certain for me: at the end of my career, I absolutely want to play in the USA”. pic.twitter.com/dENsjis3Cl
The youngster is extremely ambitious and hopes to play abroad rather than sticking to the Bundesliga once he decides to leave Stuttgart in the future.
“Fundamentally, to play abroad at some point tempts me. I thought Florian Wirtz’s decision to go to Liverpool was cool.
“At the end of my career, I absolutely want to play in the United States in Major League Soccer. This plan, this goal, is 100 percent set.”
Stiller has gradually become a fan favourite at Stuttgart since moving to the club in 2023 and has gone on to feature 84 matches for them and continues to be a key player for Sebastian Hoeness.
He also played a massive role in helping Stuttgart win the DFB Pokal last season where they defeated Arminia Bielefield in the final.
