The dreams of 26 Brazilian players came true on November 7 when Tite revealed his final squad for the 2022 World Cup

While a number of the players named have featured at previous tournaments, another appearance remains just as special. 

For those making their World Cup debut, meanwhile, the emotions were even stronger as they look to help guide their nation to glory and a record sixth title. 

Brazil will go into the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as the highest-ranked team and the weight of expectation on their shoulders. 

Right now though, the players who have made the cut are savouring their selection and the chance to shine on the biggest stage of them all.

Brazil players react to World Cup selection

Neymar

He would have been one of the first names in Tite's squad, but Neymar didn't take his selection for granted. 

After featuring at the past two World Cups without ultimate success, the PSG star will be hoping it's third time lucky for him.

Neymar watched the squad announcement with his son and you can see some genuine relief once his name was read out. 

Antony

A big year is about get even bigger for Antony.

After signing for Manchester United in September, the 22-year-old will be going to his first World Cup in Qatar. 

Antony only made his senior debut for Brazil in October 2021 but has quickly shown his ability on the international stage

The young attacker watched the squad announcement with family and friends decked out in Red Devils shirts and was visibily emotional after his selection sunk in. 

Richarlison

Just like Antony, Richarlison will make his World Cup debut with Brazil in 2022. 

The Tottenham forward made his international debut just months after the 2018 tournament and has been scoring regularly for Brazil this year. 

Richarlison looked visibly nervous as he waited to hear whether his name would be called out in Tite's final squad. 

Bruno Guimaraes

Another World Cup debutant, Guimaraes sealed his spot in the final squad after taking the Premier League by storm with Newcastle United. 

The 24-year-old watched the squad annoucement with his baby boy firmly in hand.

Alex Telles

He didn't make his debut for Brazil until the age of 26, but Telles is now off to a World Cup.

The Manchester United loanee watched the squad announcement with his pregnant wife and looked visibly shocked once his name was read out. 

Pedro

The Flamengo star somehow managed to upstage every other player named by making his selection even more special. 

Pedro, 25, used the moment just after his name was called out to propose to his girlfriend. 

A day that they'll both now never forget. 

Final 26-man Brazil World Cup squad

Tite named his final 26-man squad on Monday, November 7, seven days ahead of the FIFA-imposed deadline of November 14.

The surprise name on the list is 39-year-old Dani Alves, who didn't have the best of seasons with Pumas UNAM in Mexico.

He's assumed to be Danilo's backup at right-back and he was preferred over Tottenham's Emerson Royal. Alves will be among the oldest players in World Cup history should he take the field in Qatar.
