With less than a week to go in the ongoing summer transfer window, where Raheem Sterling will be playing his football this season is still anybody’s guess.

The now 30-year-old winger has fallen out of favour at Chelsea and finds himself as a part of the bomb squad that is waiting to leave Stamford Bridge.

Even though Sterling is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, time is running out to find a new club.

Despite signing Sterling for a substantial amount of money in 2022, Chelsea are willing to cut their losses on the player and let him leave immediately.

However, finding a suitable buyer for Sterling will not be an easy task for Chelsea, as the player has endured a significant dip in form since leaving Manchester City in 2022.

At the moment, Chelsea’s West London rivals, Fulham, are one of the few clubs expressing an interest in signing Sterling, but negotiations could be a complicated affair.

Fulham could accelerate deal to sign Raheem Sterling

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed via Substack that Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali was spotted with Fulham owner Shahid Khan over the weekend.

He reports that the pair were discussing a deal for Sterling to make a direct switch to Craven Cottage.

Reportedly, there is an expectation that a deal can soon be agreed and ‘accelerated’ as well.

Phillips adds that Sterling views Fulham as a great fit for him due to the location, so the London rivals are trying to negotiate a permanent transfer.

Sterling could prove to be an astute signing for Fulham as he brings plenty of experience along with him.

Though Sterling could not get regular playing time during his loan at Arsenal last season, he is much more likely to get a spot in the Fulham line-up.

If a deal can be finalised, it could be a no-brainer for all parties involved.
