Arsenal are keenly looking to bring in new players to improve their forward options this summer and address a key issue in Mikel Arteta's squad.

The Gunners have struggled to create and dispatch chances throughout the current season which has proven to be a destabilising concern since the start of 2025.

Injuries Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus meant the team lacked a prolific goalscorer as despite getting sidelined back in February, Havertz remains their top scorer with 15 goals this season.

Arsenal are monitoring several players, and as per The Telegraph, the North London giants are ready to push for Brighton forward Joao Pedro.

Pedro is the latest name on Arsenal's huge swath of targets with the list already including Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko, Liam Delap, Rodrygo Goes and Nico Williams. But with plenty of clubs interested in him, it will be an uphill battle to secure Pedro's signature.

The Brazilian has been in tremendous form for the Seagulls since making the move from Watford in 2023 as yet another example of Brighton's fantastic scouting network.

There's significant interest in signing Pedro this summer with Chelsea and Liverpool also openly tracking him.

The 23-year-old has been one of the best signings for the Seagulls in recent years with 30 goals scored in 70 outings in the last season and a half.

In 2024/25, he's mustered up 10 Premier League goals and provided seven assists in 30 appearances in all competitions.

Pedro proved his calibre in the Europa League last season, as he scored six goals in as many matches. Overall, he finished the campaign with 20 goals.

He is extremely versatile and could flourish in Mikel Arteta's system if he decides on a to North London.

As per Fbref, he's registered 3.47 shot-creating actions, 3.26 progressive carries, 3.68 progressive passes and 1.35 successful take-ons per 90 minutes in 2024/25.

He is under contract at Brighton until 2028, and the Seagulls will aim to extract as much money as possible in negotiations. With three clubs interested in the Brazil international, that price could rise to £100m [$133m].
